This policy explains how Yard Math handles information when you use yardmath.app, save a project, contact us, or interact with advertising.

Who to contact
Yard Math provides landscaping and project-planning calculators. For privacy questions or requests, email [email protected]. Please identify the information or interaction your request concerns without sending passwords, identity documents, or bank details.
Calculator information
When you submit a calculation, your measurements, material choices, and entered prices are sent to our server to calculate a result. The calculator application does not maintain a database of your estimates or require a user account. It does not ask for your name, home address, or payment details to use a calculator.
Estimate links contain calculator inputs, including any entered prices, in the URL. These values can appear in browser history, server logs, and links you share. Anyone with an estimate link can read those inputs. Avoid including confidential information in calculations or shared links.
Saved projects and browser storage
When you choose “Save to my project,” the estimate and the project name you enter are saved in local storage in that browser. This feature does not upload the saved project list to an account or synchronize it across devices. Other people using the same browser profile may be able to view it.
Saved projects remain until you remove them, clear the site's browser data, or your browser removes that storage. Use the remove buttons or “Clear all estimates” on My project to delete saved entries. Exported CSV files are stored wherever you save them; deleting a browser project does not delete exported files or copies of links you have shared.
Technical information and service providers
Serving the website involves processing technical information such as your IP address, browser or device information, requested URLs, request times, response status, and referral information when supplied by your browser. Server, proxy, and security logs may contain this information. We use it to deliver the site, investigate errors, and protect the service from abuse.
Our hosting and network services include Linode/Akamai and Cloudflare. These providers may process traffic information to host, deliver, and secure the site. See Akamai's privacy information and Cloudflare's privacy policy for their practices. Service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live.
Google AdSense and advertising cookies
Yard Math uses Google AdSense when advertising is enabled. Google and other advertising vendors may place or read cookies, use web beacons or similar technologies, and process IP addresses, browser identifiers, and ad interactions to deliver ads, measure performance, and detect fraud.
Advertising cookies can allow Google and its partners to personalize ads based on previous visits to this website and other websites. The advertising you receive depends on the available inventory, your location, consent choices, and provider settings. Advertising requests can involve data processing even when an ad space is blank.
Read how Google uses information from sites that use its services and Google's privacy policy.
Your advertising and cookie choices
- Where a consent message or privacy-settings control is provided, use it to review the advertising partners and purposes, accept or refuse optional processing, or revisit your choices.
- Manage Google's personalized advertising through My Ad Center. For participating third-party advertising companies, visit Digital Advertising Alliance WebChoices.
- Your browser can block or delete cookies and site storage. Clearing site storage also removes locally saved Yard Math projects and may reset saved privacy choices.
Opting out of personalized advertising does not necessarily stop all ads or the processing needed to deliver them, measure them, or prevent fraud. This policy describes our practices; reading it or continuing to browse is not itself consent to optional advertising cookies.
Email and other disclosures
If you email us, your email provider and ours process the message. We receive your email address and anything you choose to include, and use that information to respond and handle the issue. We may disclose information when needed to comply with applicable legal obligations or protect the security and rights of the service and its users.
Retention and security
The calculator application does not permanently store calculation submissions in an estimates database, but request URLs may remain in operational logs. Log retention depends on server and provider settings. Email correspondence may be retained to handle a request and keep a record of its resolution; advertising providers apply their own retention practices. Contact us with questions about a particular record.
We use HTTPS to encrypt traffic in transit. No internet service or storage method can guarantee absolute security. Avoid submitting sensitive personal information through calculator fields or project names.
Privacy requests
Depending on your location and which laws apply, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it through the available consent controls. You may also have the right to complain to a relevant privacy authority.
Contact us using the email above to make a request. We may need information to establish which records relate to you and respond under applicable requirements. We cannot remotely access or delete a project stored only in your browser; use the project or browser controls described above.
Children
Yard Math is a general-audience project-planning service and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us so we can investigate and address it.
