Sod calculator
Start your lawn with a clearer plan.
Estimate lawn coverage, whole sod rolls, and pallets using your supplier's roll and pallet sizes.
Clear math. Better decisions.
A worked example
For 200 square feet with 10% extra, plan for 220 square feet. With 10-square-foot rolls, that is 22 rolls. A 450-square-foot pallet would be one alternative purchase, not an additional item.
Before you order
- Exclude patios, beds, and areas you will leave unsodded.
- Roll and pallet sizes vary; the starting sizes are examples.
- The cost estimate uses whole rolls. Full-pallet pricing may differ; ask for a separate quote.
Good questions.
Should I buy both the rolls and the pallets shown?
No. They are alternative ways of buying the same planned area. The cost here uses roll-rounded coverage, so do not treat it as a quote for the pallet option.
What allowance should I use?
Cutting patterns and boundaries affect waste. Measure carefully and discuss complex shapes with your supplier. The 10% starting value is simply editable planning arithmetic.
